Skateline presents 'Distant Night Skate' for the month of September!

Put on your skates and work those leg muscles as we take on this long distance journey together, from Bartley MRT Station to Northpoint Shopping Mall in Yishun, all 22km of it!

You can expect to cruise on Serangoon Park Connector and Punggol Park Connector, while enjoying the beautiful night scenery of Punggol Waterway. Take on the challenging Seletar Link North, which connects Punggol and Yishun town in the shortest possible way!

Date: 27 September 2014, Saturday, 7:30pm
Starting point: Bartley MRT Station (Gather outside Exit A)
Ending Point: Northpoint Shopping Mall, Yishun
Distance: ~22km

*Parking is available at neighborhood residential estates

*Complimentary bus service is available for return trip to Bartley MRT Station from Yishun after the event.

Simply RSVP via the Facebook event page (Facebook login required) by clicking the 'Going' or 'Join' button to register your attendance. This will allow you to see event updates on the Facebook event page in case of event changes or cancellation. WHO CAN JOIN

The SNS is free and open to all skaters with the following in mind:

• This is an open and public social gathering, participants take part in the SNS at their own risk. Skateline staff and Skate Assist Volunteers facilitate this social gathering but assume no responsibility for the safety of the participants.
• For Advanced skaters and above
• Able to stop at will, turn sharp corners and handle the following unassisted: slopes, stairs, kerbs, humps, depressions, rough/uneven ground, wet surfaces and urban features like overhead bridges and traffic crossings
• Numerous traffic crossings and overhead bridges to be expected. Please exercise patience and obey all traffic rules
• Respect pedestrians and avoid causing obstruction or inconvenience to the public
• Follow the instructions of the Captain and Marshals
• Route may change without prior notice
• Skating within the MRT Station premises is strictly prohibited
• Off-road skating to be expected
